How It Works

God is always faithful and has supplied every need since the start of The Wilderness Christian Camp. It has been our goal and vision since 2003 to have a place for preachers to vacation and rest at no expense to them. Come enjoy God's nature and go home refreshed and renewed. It's that simple. 

We are not open to the general pubic and we do not accept reservations for preachers of other faiths. If you are a like-minded baptistic preacher, you qualify.  

We are located in the rural town of Gay, WV in the remote Appalachian forest. We are extremely remote and a 30 minute drive from the nearest town with stores (Ripley, WV). Road access is limited to high clearance vehicles such as SUV's or trucks. Special accommodations can be made to assist guests with small cars.  

Choose from one of our 5 camping or lodging options. Once you have selected how you would like to stay, simply make a reservation and select your desired dates from the available dates. Please note that each lodging or camping option has different availability. Once you have submitted your reservation request, please allow up to 48 hours for approval and confirmation. 

Due to the remote location and limited infrastructure of our facility we do not have traditional land-line electricity. All of our electricity is produced onsite via diesel generators and only operates between the hours of 8am and 10pm. There is no electricity during sleeping hours. Our gravity fed water system remains in operation 24 hours a day. Please note that this is not a road-side resort or a city sidewalk facility. It is a wilderness camp in the remote forest with wildlife and simple living.  *** Road conditions will not allow for RVs or campers onsite.
